Sala Jashari pays tribute to her uncle, former KLA commander Sahit Jashari: "You are part of Kosovo's history"

Democratic Party of Kosovo parliamentary candidate Sala Jashari has responded to the death of her uncle, former Kosovo Liberation Army commander Sahit Jashari.

In a Facebook post, Jashari expressed her grief over the loss, saying she found it difficult to find words at such a moment.

"Uncle, it is hard to speak. At times like these, words fall silent and stillness defies even sighs. You were a man of steel, forged from courage and love for the homeland. You lived a life full of deeds, and your name carries great weight for us; you are part of Kosovo's history. Today, allow me to honour you, to bow before every memory you created and left as a legacy to generations to come. You, a pillar of freedom. Your memory is unforgettable," she wrote.

Among other things, Sala Jashari described Sahit Jashari as a "pillar of freedom", writing that his memory would remain unforgettable and an inspiration for generations to come.

"You will remain a source of motivation for us and, for many, the reason that keeps us going in our love for our country.

Glory to your life and legacy! Thank you for everything, uncle!" she also wrote.
